Moultrie A5 Review
Moultrie is competing at the top of “bottom off the line” with this one! You really can’t find a new game camera cheaper than this. It offers a 5 MP picture resolution as well as the ability to capture either day or night video. Setting it up is pretty straightforward. I didn’t even need to open the manual. It makes scouting easier and affordable to set up over your entire property. It takes still images and video in both day and night. Overall I think it gives you a great value and really can’t be beat in it’s price range! Find out more in this Moultrie A5 Review! Product Details:

I have heard people complain that it does not pick up smaller animals and that they get a lot of “ghost” or “air” pictures. You have to remember though, that this camera is competing with other cameras in the $60 price range. For the price, this is an excellent camera. It is not fair to hold it to a standard of a camera that costs 4x as much.
Here is what a couple owners had to say about the Moultrie A5:
…the second photo was a perfect focus, well lit, great color balanced picture of a Wild Tom Turkey with about a six-inch beard! I highly recommend this camera. I doubt if you will find any camera that has more bang-for-the-buck. I use a fast SD card, 32G, Extreme with excellent results… Geezer Geek – Read The Full Review From Amazon
I have had this camera for a few months and is great for the cost. Initially there were some issues with setting time/date however, after applying the firmware update that is available on the Moultrie site, I haven’t had any other issues… Mike – Read The Full Review From Amazon
This camera offers features and easy setup at a price that would allow almost anyone to put trail cameras all over your whole property. It takes day and night videos and has a nighttime range of about 50 feet. The low glow flash will not bother the game and allows you to see who frequents your food plots, to track wildlife patterns and overall just monitor your land. Without ever even bothering the game!
On the downside, the picture quality isn’t the best I have ever seen. It does run on 4 C batteries, which is a definite minus for me. Though you can get the aftermarket sleeves I talked about to use AA instead. When you consider the price you are paying though, you really can’t get a better game camera at even close to this price. If you are looking for the next step up, I would suggest you take a look at the Moultrie M-880.
